An Ottumwa man allegedly violated a no contact order multiple times.
52-year-old Robert Ekwall was charged with stalking, a class C felony.
On August 12 at 1:15 p.m, court records say Ekwall was in his front yard talking to neighbors across the street regarding Ekwall’s recent arrest. According to authorities, Ekwall made the victim feel threatened, terrorized, and intimidated. The victim recorded the interaction.
According to court records, Ekwall and the victim have a no contact order dated May 2024. Ekwall has violated the no contact order with the protective party on more than two occasions.
Ekwall was taken to the Wapello County Jail. He is being held on a $20,000 bond and his preliminary hearing was waived.
