Kenton Craig Davis, passed away at the age of 65 on Tuesday, August 21, 2024, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield, Iowa. Born on January 29, 1959, in Monmouth, Illinois, Kenton was the beloved son of Kenneth and Annette McKee Davis. His early years were spent in Stockport, and he later settled in Fairfield, where he became a cherished member of the community.
Kenton’s dedication to his country was evident through his service in the United States Army as an aviation mechanic. After his military service, he continued to work with his hands and his heart as a diesel mechanic, a profession that had him known and respected at numerous places in the area. On August 14, 1982, Kenton was united in marriage with Norma Helterbran in Stockport, a union that was filled with love, laughter, and joy.
Kenton’s memory will be forever held in the hearts of his loving wife, Norma, and their two children—a son, Bryon Davis (Amber) of Fairfield, and a daughter, Amanda Felt of Fairfield; his two sisters, Kathy Davis of Stockport and Marsha Phillips of Texas, and his five grandchildren, Gavin Droz, Lenora, Kylie, E’lara “Ick” and Talia Felt.
Kenton was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Annette Davis.
In honoring Kenton’s own wishes, his body has been cremated, and no services are planned at this time.
