A Burlington man faces charges after a conducted K-9 unit search, according to the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Department.
47-year-old Robert McPherson was charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, failure to affix drug tax stamp, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On August 8 at approximately 12:15 a.m, according to the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office, McPherson was a passenger in a vehicle stop for an equipment violation at Cottonwood Ct. and Mt. Pleasant St. Deputies conducted a K-9 unit search for the odor of narcotics and located 15 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, and packaging material inside of the vehicle.
McPherson was taken to the Des Moines County Correctional Center. He had an initial appearance on August 8 and is being held with a $50,000 bond. He has a preliminary hearing on August 16.
