Darline Pearl Bickford, 83, of Ottumwa, died at 1:22 p.m. July 31, 2024 at her home.
She was born May 12, 1941 in Iowa City to Luther and Pauline Darling Sanders. She married Elbert Eugene Bickford August 30, 1957 and he preceded her in death January 17, 2022.
Darline was a homemaker, moving to Floris with her husband in 1977, then moved to Bloomfield, before moving to Ottumwa in 2003. She enjoyed spending winters in Texas, doing puzzles and sudoku and playing card games.
Surviving are her children, Linda Sue Bickford and Kerry (Chad) Hasz both of Bloomfield and Cindy (Alan) Bennink of Pella; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Roy Sanders, Mary (Jim) Kimble and Jimmy Sanders.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant grandson; 3 brothers, Luther Sanders Jr., Kenneth Sanders and an infant brother; and 2 sisters, Betty Lou and Kathy Sanders.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 3rd at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Smith officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be open after 1 p.m. Friday, August 2nd at Reece Funeral Home. The family will be present to greet friends one hour prior to the service Saturday.
