An Ottumwa man with seven prior convictions allegedly stole from Casey’s.
24-year-old Brain Anjain was charged with 3rd degree theft, enhanced 2+ priors, aggravated misdemeanor.
On July 24, court records say Anjain trespassed into the Casey’s on 1001 East Main Street. Anjain acquired an alcoholic beverage valued under $300 and fled before officers arrived.
According to court records, Anjain has prior theft convictions dating May 2021, November 2021, January 2022, August 2022, August 2022, July 2023, and April 2024.
Anjain was taken to the Wapello County Jail. He was released and has a preliminary hearing on August 12.
