Missing Sigourney Girl Found, Arrest Made

The Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office says a Sigourney girl who was reported missing last week was found safe and an individual has been arrested in connection to her disappearance.

16-year-old Emily Conger was last seen leaving her home for a walk on June 22.

Authorities say a search warrant was executed at 901 Ringgold Street in Sigourney on June 27. Conger was located in the residence and returned home safely.

21-year-old Carter Wallerich of Sigourney was arrested and charged with harboring a runaway child.

Wallerich was transported to the Keokuk County Jail. He was later freed after posting a $2,000 bond. He’s been ordered not to have any contact with Conger.
