An Ottumwa woman faces charges after shoplifting multiple times from Walmart.
19-year-old Morgan-Ann West was charged with 3rd degree Theft, an aggravated misdemeanor, and Ongoing Criminal Conduct, a class B felony.
On May 15, court records state West began shoplifting from Walmart. Authorities say West was accused of shoplifting several times until June 8.
According to Ottumwa police, West stole from Walmart by switching tickets and neglecting to scan items. West admitted to authorities that she was addicted to stealing from Walmart. West stole an estimated $1,294.52 worth of items.
West was taken to the Wapello County Jail. She is being held without bond and pending a hearing with a magistrate judge.
