An Alabama man was arrested after repeated 9-1-1 calls concerning a third party.
31-year-old Michael Lathen of Pinson, Alabama, was charged with False Reports.
On June 27, court records say the Ottumwa Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from Lathen. Police say Lathen’s call concerned a child custody dispute of a third party. According to authorities, Lathen was instructed police could not take any action. Lathen continued to call 9-1-1 about the situation.
Lathen was taken to the Wapello County Jail. He is being held without bond pending a hearing with a magistrate judge.
