The National Weather Service says large swaths of Iowa will experience severe thunderstorms and other hazardous conditions on Tuesday.
Southeast Iowa appears to be the biggest target of the system that will bring high wind gusts of 60-70 mph, large hail (up to two inches in diameter), and possible tornadoes.
According to the National Weather Service, there will be scattered thunderstorms starting around 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A secondary round of storms is anticipated from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
