The City of Ottumwa issued a warning regarding illegal dumping in its park dumpsters.
In a statement, the city says it has noticed an increase of illegal dumping in park dumpsters.
“We appreciate the desire for homes and businesses to do some spring cleaning, but generated trash needs to be disposed of properly. Dumpsters located in parks are for garbage created from activities at the park. Dumping items from home or your business is illegal and violators caught committing this violation may be subject to citations and fines.” The City of Ottumwa
