A former southeast Iowa wrestling coach received his sentence last week after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a woman in Minnesota in 2019.
Last October, 42-year-old Brett Little of What Cheer pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct – force or coercion in Minnesota’s Hennepin County. Little was the high school wrestling coach for Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont until he was relieved of his duties in 2019.
Little was sentenced to two years probation which he will serve in Iowa. He must also register as a sex offender. Additionally, Little was ordered to pay restitution to the victim.
Court records show Little has two pending cases in Iowa, both involving alleged violation of a protective order. Little has a non-jury trial scheduled for March 14 in Wapello County. The other is a pre-trial hearing on March 26 in Monroe County.
