We celebrate the life of Alicey Albious, a charismatic woman who, throughout her lifetime, displayed an abundance of compassion, dedication, and humility. Born on December 26, 1960, in Marshall Island, ME, Alicey lived a life filled with love and laughter, until her passing on March 11, 2024 at Ridgewood Specialty Care in Ottumwa. Her infectious smile and captivating energy left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Alicey was a devoted homemaker, who found profound joy in maintaining her home in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was a woman of many talents and interests, which included playing volleyball in her younger years, baseball, crafting, and most importantly, spending quality time with her beloved family. Alicey was also deeply rooted in her faith, which guided her in all aspects of her life and brought her much solace, especially after becoming widowed. Her children, grandchildren, and her faith were her life’s cornerstones. Alicey’s unwavering dedication to her loved ones was palpable, and her humble nature made her a beacon of light in her community.

Survivors include: George (Bertin) George, Alinton (Hosina) Albious, Witkin Albious & Annmarie James, Nelton (Sharon) Albious, Josie Albious & Donnie Alister, John Albious, and many grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alik Albious.

Services will begin on Friday, March 29, 2024 at 9:00 a.m., at the New Hope Church in Ottumwa. Cremation will be accorded following services.
