Ottumwa, IA – Recently Veterans Affairs of Wapello County received a grant from Ottumwa Legacy Foundation to assist qualified Veterans with a diagnosis of cancer. On Monday the Veterans were honored to present a plaque showing their sincere appreciation to Ottumwa Legacy Foundation for their continued support of Veterans.
The Ottumwa Legacy Foundation has gone out of their way to recognize the veterans of Wapello County including Vietnam Veterans and Women Veterans. This grant shows their commitment to the veterans community in Wapello County.
“The attention shown by the Ottumwa Legacy Group to veterans, that is many cases are forgotten, is outstanding.” said Don Lewis, Wapello County Veterans Affairs Commissioner.
