The National Weather Service says parts of southeast Iowa will be susceptible to fire danger Thursday afternoon.
South to southwest winds will gust to 25 to 35 mph through early Thursday evening. The combination of these winds, mild temperatures, low relative humidity, and dry grass and brush will lead to a high fire danger, according to the National Weather Service. If a fire were to ignite in this environment, it may spread quickly and be difficult to control.
The National Weather Service says the Enhanced Fire Danger covers Henry, Jefferson, Keokuk, and Van Buren County.
