Mindy Lynne Boyd, passed away at the age of 41 on the 14th of February, 2024, in Keosauqua, Iowa. Born on September 7, 1982, in Ottumwa. Her passing at Van Buren County Hospital came after a valiant battle with cancer, with her dedicated husband Ross by her side.
Mindy was a beacon of joy and strength for her family. Together with Ross, she raised three beautiful children: Jadyn, Logan, and Keaton. Her children were the center of her universe, and she invested her heart and soul into their happiness and upbringing. Mindy’s involvement in their school activities and her passion for reading were just a few of the ways she nurtured their growth and learning.
A proud graduate of Van Buren County High School in 2000, Mindy furthered her education at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa. Mindy’s dedication shone brightly at Boyd Grocery, the family business where she worked diligently there every day.
Mindy’s legacy is carried on by a loving and extensive family. She leaves behind her devoted Husband, Ross; her three children, Jadyn, Logan and Keaton Boyd; mother, Julie Hall Thomas, and her husband Ivan; her brother, Chris Campbell, and his wife Stephanie; and her grandmother, Jan Hall, all of Douds. Mindy’s father, Duane Campbell of Floris, also survives her. Ross’s children, Jake Boyd with his wife Brianna, and Lacey Smith with her husband Tel, as well as their children Harvey, Hazel, Henley Boyd, and Leighton Smith, all of Keosauqua, will forever hold Mindy in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jerry Hall, and great-grandparents, Walter and Ruth Hall, as well as grandparents, Reid and Velma.
In honoring Mindy’s wishes, her body has been cremated. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Gifts to a memorial in Mindy’s honor may be mailed to the family at 913 Country Lane Road, Keosauqua, IA 52565
