Donald Trump won 51 percent of the Republican vote as the 2024 election cycle began with the former president taking the Iowa Caucuses by nearly 30 points.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis earned 21 percent of the vote. Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley was in third with 19 percent.
Trump won 98 of the 99 counties in Iowa. The only county he lost (Johnson) was by one vote. As the presidential race moves east, Trump called for unity moving forward during his victory speech Monday night.

Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy suspended his campaign on Monday night after finishing fourth in the Caucuses with nearly 8 percent of the vote. Ramaswamy also announced that he will be endorsing Trump.
