A southeast Iowa man pleaded guilty to insurance fraud he committed in 2022.
44-year-old David Lee Gordy was placed on supervised probation for five years after pleading guilty to fraudulent submissions, a Class D felony. Gordy has also been ordered to pay a civil penalty of $1,025.
The Iowa Insurance Division’s Fraud Bureau says it received information indicating Gordy had presented a written document in support of payment to an insurer knowing the document contained false information.
Gordy was arrested last April following the investigation.
