An Albia man was arrested after an investigation revealed sexual abuse, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Thomas Jamieson has been charged with second-degree sexual abuse.
The sheriff’s office says on September 17, the office was notified of a possible sexual abuse that occurred in south-central Monroe County.
An investigation led to a search warrant that was executed on September 22 at the suspected location of the abuse. Jamieson was subsequently arrested.
No other details were shared regarding this incident. Court records do not have an account of this arrest as of publication.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by The Department of Human Services, Unity Point Hospital, and sexual assault counselors in the investigation.
