Jerry Dean Griffiths Jr., 55, of Bloomfield, died August 10, 2023 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
He was born December 18, 1967 in Ottumwa to Jerry Dean and Delores Rosetta Jones Griffiths Sr. Jerry married Tina Greer on July 10, 1997.
A graduate of Ottumwa High School, Jerry farmed and worked at John Deere Ottumwa Works.
Surviving is his wife, Tina; his daughters, Jessica Kay (Heath) Griffiths of Ottumwa, Laura (Rodney) Fairchild of Bloomfield, Ricci (Tim) Dolan and Jennifer (Tim) Cox, both of Ottumwa; a son, Jason (Aleasha) Wilt of Des Moines; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Rachell (Allen) Brunner of Nebraska, Deana (Glen) Prevett Jr. of Ottumwa and Sheila (Greg) McDowell of Blakesburg; and his best farm buddy, Delbert Burns.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Ronda Hamm and 2 grandsons.
Visitation will be open at 10 a.m. Sunday, August 13th at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
