Jesse Keith Selvy, age 49 of Centerville, Iowa passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 at Corydon Specialty Care.
He was born March 2, 1973 in Centerville, Iowa, the son of William Gordon and Charlotte Colene (Swarts) Selvy. Jesse graduated from Moulton Udell Schools.
Jesse worked at Tenco in Centerville for an estimated period of ten years. He was also employed at Centerville Produce during his working years.
He loved watching sports, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Kansas City Royals. Jesse also enjoyed watching wrestling movies. He had a fondness for spending time outdoors, especially mowing lawns. Most importantly, Jesse was a social butterfly and cherished visiting with family and friends.
Left to honor Jesse’s memory include his siblings, Dennis (Connie) Selvy of Cincinnati, Iowa, Loren Selvy of Livonia, Missouri, Vernon (Lauralee) Selvy of Centerville, Iowa, Julie (David) Jonaitis of Livonia, Missouri, George (Leslie) Selvy of Kenyon, Minnesota, Douglas (Carol) Selvy of Albia, Iowa, and Sandy (Rick) Selvy-Mullis of Richfield, North Carolina; as well as two sisters-in-law, Cathy Selvy of Eldridge, Missouri and Glenda Selvy of Livonia, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Colene Selvy; as well three siblings, Jim Selvy, Clifford Selvy, and Sally Selvy.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Jeff Probasco officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltown Cemetery, southeast of Exline. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends from 10-11 AM. A memorial has been established to Tenco of Appanoose County and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, IA 52544.
