Mustangs, Warriors and Comets advance to region semi, Panthers wrap up season


Classes 1A, 2A, and 3A were in action yesterday

In Class 2A-In Keosauqua, the Van Buren County Warriors knocked off the Pekin Panthers. The Warriors used a six-run second inning to go on to win 10-0 in five innings. The Warriors advance to the region semi-final on Friday where they travel to 2A #8 Louisa-Muscatine at 7pm. The Pekin Panthers wrap up the season at 7-15 and have no seniors.

In Eldon, the 2A #15 Cardinal Comets knocked off the Mediapolis Bulldogs 12-1 in five innings. The Comets used book-end five run innings to capture the win. The Comets advance to the region semi-final on Friday where they play host to Durant at 7pm

In Class 3A-In Bloomfield, the 3A #10 Davis County Mustangs made quick work of the Centerville Big Reds 12-0. With the win the Mustangs advance to a region semi-final showdown when they host 3A #11 Albia Saturday night at 7pm. The game will be broadcast on the Ottumwa Radio Group Facebook Page
