A Jefferson County judge has ruled the second teenager accused of killing a Fairfield teacher last year will be tried as an adult.

A day after 17-year-old Jeremy Goodale’s request to have his case moved to juvenile court was denied, 16-year-old Willard Miller saw his similar request rejected on Thursday.

Miller and Goodale are accused of killing 66-year-old Nohema Graber. Court records say she was beaten with a baseball bat.

Miller, like Goodale, has been charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit a forcible felony.

Miller’s pretrial conference is scheduled for October 3. His trial is set to take place on November 1.
