An Oskaloosa couple was arrested at their home Thursday amid allegations of sexual assault.
Dustin Flaherty, 41, has been charged with conspiracy to commit sexual abuse (Class C Felony), third-degree sexual abuse (Class C Felony), and two counts of second-degree sexual abuse (Class B Felony).
Sara Flaherty, 40, faces charges of conspiracy to commit sexual abuse (Class C Felony), third-degree sexual abuse (Class C Felony), and two counts, each, of second-degree sexual abuse (Class B Felony) and drug distribution to a person under the age of 18 (Class B Felony).
The arrests are the result of a joint investigation by the Oskaloosa Police Department and the Iowa Divison of Criminal Investigation. According to court records, a female juvenile told investigators that she was sexually assaulted at the couple’s home last year and was provided alcohol and marijuana.
Dustin and Sara Flaherty are currently in the Mahaska County Jail where they are being held without bond.
