Lynn Ann Harter, 44, of Blakesburg died October 11, 2021, at Monroe County Hospital. Through her courageous 32-month battle with cancer, she always had a smile.
She was born March 21, 1977 in Bloomfield to Russell and Vickie Collett Willey. She married Brian Eugene Harter July 20, 1996.
A 1995 graduate of Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont High School, Lynn completed the Administrative Assistant program at Indian Hills Community College. She worked 5 years for Wells Fargo Bank in Ottumwa before becoming a stay-at-home mom for 7 years. She had been a teacher’s associate at the Ottumwa Schools for the past 10 years.
Surviving is her husband, Brian; their children, Michael, Jason and Allyson; her parents, Russ and Vickie Willey of Blakesburg; and two sisters, Amy Willey of Blakesburg and her twin, Lori Waller of Ottumwa; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dean and Pat Harter; two brothers-in-law, Eric and Stacy Harter.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, and a brother-in-law, Jason Harter.
Visitation will be open after 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with her family present to greet friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Jesse Elkins officiating. For those unable to attend, you may watch live on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook Page. Cremation will follow the service.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Humane Society or to the family to be designated at a later date.
