Linda Lee Pool, 79, of Eldon, IA passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, at the Ottumwa Regional Hospital in Ottumwa, IA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon and will last until the time of service. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon, IA with Pastor Mark Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Eldon Cemetery immediately following the service. Memorial in Linda’s honor may be directed to the Eldon Senior Meals or to Eldon Uptown/Downtown. Linda Lee Pool was born on July 3, 1943, in Ottumwa, IA to H. Gilbert (Gib) Sr. and D. Maxine Lee Keasling. She grew up in Eldon and graduated in 1961 with the first class at the new Cardinal High School. Upon graduation she went on to AIB where she took several business courses. On December 1, 1962, she married Richard Hemm and together they became the loving parents of two daughters: Holly and Sherri. Linda spent much of her time as a mother and homemaker but also worked at the grocery store and Kwik N EZ in Eldon. Richard and Linda later divorced and in 1986 she married Donald Pool in Las Vegas, NV. They would remain by each other’s side for over 30 years until his death in 2017. Linda was a Brownie Leader, always helped as a room mother for her girls’ classrooms and was an active member of the Living Hope Bible Church. She was an avid reader, liked watching sports, especially the Cardinal Comets and Iowa Hawkeyes, enjoyed bowling and participated on a local bowling league for several years. Linda was very interested in CB/Ham radio and spent time visiting with others of the same interests all over the Unites States on her radio using the handle River Queen. Don & Linda loved RVing and in retirement they traveled south many winters making life long friends during their time in Apache
Jct. Arizona. She was very involved in Eldon groups and took pride in planning the Gothic Day Parade for several years. Linda loved Jesus, her family, her friends and a good cup of tea. She will be missed by her family and her many friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; one brother, Harold G. Keasling II; a stepson-in-law, Gene Sidak and her very spoiled dog, Sadie.

Left to honor her memory are her children, Holly (David) Snyder of Huntsville, MO, Sherri (Ray) Beattie of Ottumwa, IA; two stepchildren, Phil Pool of West Burlington and Julie Sidak of Georgia; eleven grandchildren, Nicole Sanders, Ben Snyder, Hannah Snyder, Tori Kenel, Kyle LaRue, Dylan Beattie, Amy Beattie, Emilee Beattie, Elizabeth O’Neal, Michael Pool and Stephanie Sidak; eleven great grandchildren, Quinley, Talia, Morgan, Emma, Alaina, Rylie, Rayden, Grant, Lily, Olivia and Henry; one sister, Joan (Chod) Cremer, as well as many extended family and friends.
