MercyOne is expanding access to behavioral health and primary care services in Centerville with the addition of two new providers, helping residents of Appanoose County and surrounding communities receive high-quality care close to home.
Donna Lawrence, LMHC, has joined MercyOne Centerville Behavioral Health Care, bringing compassionate mental health services to patients seeking support for life’s challenges. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Lawrence provides evaluations, counseling and treatment for a variety of behavioral health concerns, helping patients improve their emotional well-being and overall quality of life.
In addition, Jennifer Olson, DO, has joined MercyOne Centerville Medical Clinic as a primary care provider. Dr. Olson offers comprehensive care for patients of all ages, including preventive care, chronic disease management, wellness visits and treatment for acute illnesses.
“Behavioral health and primary care are among the most important health care services in a community,” said Chad Kelley, chief operating officer of MercyOne Centerville Medical Center. “The addition of Donna and Dr. Olson reflects our commitment to ensuring residents can
receive timely, high-quality care locally, reducing the need to travel outside the area for essential health services.”
The addition of Lawrence strengthens access to behavioral health services in southern Iowa, where many rural communities continue to face shortages of mental health providers. Together, Lawrence and Dr. Olson enhance MercyOne’s ability to meet the growing health
care needs of individuals and families throughout the region.
Community members are invited to meet the new providers during an open house Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at MercyOne Centerville Medical Clinic The event offers residents an opportunity learn more about available services and connect with members of the MercyOne care team.
