Jeremy Bolinger is being recognized for 25 years of service with the What Cheer Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
The department honored Bolinger in a social media post Sunday, calling him a mentor, leader and father figure who has helped shape the firefighters on the department today.
“He doesn’t just teach us how to be better firefighters; he helps us become better people,” the department wrote. “If you need someone to talk to, Jeremy is there. If you need a shoulder to cry on, he’s there. If you need advice, encouragement, or someone to set you straight, you can count on him.”
The post praised Bolinger for consistently taking time to show newer members safer and more effective ways to do the job, and said his dedication has left a lasting mark on the department.
“The impact you’ve made on this department goes far beyond the calls you’ve answered,” the department wrote. “Your dedication, wisdom, and heart will continue to make a difference for years to come.”
