A fresh look for a place of worship was the focus of a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday morning at Davis Street Christian Church in Ottumwa.
Church members welcomed the Greater Ottumwa Partners in Progress Ambassadors to celebrate the recently renovated sanctuary.
The ceremony took place at 9 a.m. October 19, at the church located at 202 South Davis Street.
The renovations mark an important milestone for the congregation, providing an updated setting for worship, fellowship and gathering together.
Community ribbon-cutting events offer an opportunity to recognize local organizations and celebrate improvements that help keep Ottumwa growing.
Monday’s event gave church members and community representatives a chance to recognize the renovation and celebrate the church’s continued role in the community.
