The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce is introducing a brand new community event this fall — the Loop the Loop Halloween Hustle, a 5K and 1K run/walk on Saturday, October 31st at the Maasdam Barns, designed to bring families, friends, and local businesses together for a morning of health, wellness, and Halloween fun.
Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. with the 5K and 1K run/walk beginning at 8:00 a.m. The event is open to participants of all ages and abilities.
Amy Vetter, President-Elect of the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce, said the event is about more than just running. “We wanted to create an event that gives families, friends and coworkers a reason to get outside, get active and have fun together,” Vetter said. “Loop the Loop is about more than running — it’s about building community, encouraging wellness and creating a new tradition that everyone can enjoy.”
Beyond the race, participants and spectators can enjoy a variety of Halloween-themed activities including pumpkin bowling, pumpkin decorating, face painting, a photo booth, a barn haunted house, Halloween music, and refreshments. A costume contest will add even more excitement, with awards for youth, adults, families, and Best Corporate Team.
Local businesses are also encouraged to bring their teams and make Loop the Loop a Health and Wellness Day, with a corporate team challenge designed to promote employee wellness and team spirit outside the workplace.
Sponsorship opportunities are now open and are limited in availability. Sponsorship levels include Presenting Sponsor, Start/Finish Line Sponsor, Costume Contest Sponsor, Haunted House Sponsor, First Aid Station Sponsor, Activity Sponsors, Mile Marker Sponsors, and Prize Sponsors. Businesses are encouraged to secure their sponsorship early.
Registration details and additional event information will be announced soon. For sponsorship information or questions, contact the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce at 641-472-2111 or Chamber@FairfieldIowa.com.
