Kenneth Keith Campbell, 86, of Ottumwa died at 4:20 p.m. August 6, 2026 at his home.
He was born July 9, 1940 in Fairfield to Keith and Dorothy Courtney Campbell. He married Sherry Lynn Johnson July 21, 1991 and she preceded him in death January 22, 2026.
A 1958 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Kenny served in the US Navy serving aboard the USS Raton (SS-270). He worked 30 years for John Deere Ottumwa Works retiring in February of 1996.
He was a member of O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion since 1965 and was a life member of Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars; serving on their Honor Guard for over 30 years.
Surviving are his grandchildren, Viola Genochio, Dylan Campbell and Gunnar Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
His body has been cremated. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday August 11th at Reece Funeral Home with Chaplain Doug McAntire officiating. His family will be present one hour prior to the service to greet friends. Inurnment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery with military honors conducted by O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion and Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Memorials may be made to the Legion and VFW Honor Guard.
