A Osceola woman was arrested after authorities say she drove the wrong way on Highway 92 and nearly collided head-on with another vehicle.

According to court documents, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a report at approximately 12:05 a.m. on July 17 of a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Highway 92 near Exit 60.

Deputies located the vehicle near Exit 62 and identified the driver as Trinity Lagat Miller, 19, of Osceola.

Court documents state that law enforcement activated emergency lights and sirens, but Miller allegedly continued traveling the wrong way. Authorities said the vehicle encountered multiple oncoming vehicles and nearly collided head-on with one before stopping near 70th Avenue.

During the investigation, law enforcement reported seeing alcohol containers and THC containers in plain view inside the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted, and authorities allegedly found THC vape pens in the rear of the vehicle.

After Miller was placed under arrest, authorities said an additional THC pen matching those found in the vehicle was discovered during a search of her person.

Miller was charged with first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana, a serious misdemeanor.

She is being held in the Marion County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 24.
