Adalynne Tremmel of Sigourney was crowned the 2026 Keokuk County Expo Queen on Thursday evening, July 16th.

Tremmel, 18, is the daughter of Zach and Tiffany Tremmel of Sigourney. She will graduate from Sigourney High School in 2027 and plans to attend Iowa State University. She said afterward that the moment felt surreal and that being crowned had been a dream of hers since childhood.

Tremmel is an active member of the Riverside 4-H Club and the Sigourney FFA Chapter, where she serves as FFA President and 4-H Club Vice President. She is also involved in Student Council, County Council, Key Club, and the Junior National Angus Association, and participates in basketball, golf, and theater.

Known for her deep commitment to community service, Tremmel helped establish a student coffee shop at her high school and volunteers with highway cleanup projects, Pennies for Patients, blood drives, and her FFA chapter’s greenhouse. She also coaches youth soccer, packages meals for those in need, and teaches Sunday school. Outside of school and community activities, she enjoys showing cattle and sheep, baking, and spending time with family and friends.

The other queen candidates were Caylee Corbin, Madison Fry, and Tierney Greiner.

With her crowning, Tremmel joins Keokuk County Fair Queen Gracen MacCready, who was crowned July 9th, as queen titleholders in Keokuk County. The annual Iowa State Fair Queen Competition brings together county queens from across Iowa to vie for the state title, with judging based on personality, attitude, leadership, citizenship, contribution to community, overall appearance, charm, and poise. The Iowa State Fair runs August 13th through 23rd, with the Queen Coronation taking place Saturday, August 15th at 7:00 p.m.
