Chauncey Douglas Osterhoudt, 65, of Ottumwa, died at 7:16 p.m. April 25, 2026 at his home.
He was born February 21, 1961 in Grant, NE to Rodney Verni and Nancy Jane Sedden Osterhoudt.
Doug had attended Manzano High School in Albuquerque, NM. Being a resident of Ottumwa most of his life, he had worked as a cook at the Recovery Room for nearly 30 years.
He was a member of Izaak Walton League.
Doug was an avid Nebraska Cornhuskers fan and enjoyed fishing and playing pool and darts. He loved spending time with family and friends.
Surviving is his sister, Darla Boice of Nixa, MO; a cousin, Mike Sedden of Bellevue, NE; an uncle who raised him, Wallace (Kay) Sedden of Albuquerque, NM; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dennis Osterhoudt; an aunt who raised him, Dixie Sedden.
His body has been cremated, and no services are planned at this time.
