Ransom Eugene Zuercher, 78, of Ottumwa died at 10:59 a.m. March 24, 2026.
He was born October 27, 1947 in Rockford, IL to Jack and Minnie Pitts Zuercher. He married Carolyn Coop and she preceded him in death June 2, 2014.
Ransom joined the US Army serving in Vietnam. He worked as a journeyman electrician.
Ransom enjoyed working on cars, woodworking, fishing, watching movies and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his children, Adam Coop of Pella, Eddie (Ivette) Zuercher of Lacombe, LA and Heather Zuercher (Joey Snow) of Udell.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
His body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
