The Fairfield Art Association has opened its annual Membership Exhibit featuring 82 works from 43 artists in the Main Gallery at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.
The exhibit is open for viewing during business hours Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as during events held at the facility.
An award event will be held Friday, March 6th, from 6 to 8 p.m., open to artists, guests, and the community. Harriet Burbeck, an artist and Indian Hills Art Instructor, will serve as the exhibit judge.
Visitors can vote for their favorite artwork through March 6th. The association will also announce the theme for its annual Summer Art Installation during the evening event.
The exhibit showcases a wide range of artistic media, including paintings in oil, watercolor, gouache, soft pastel, graphite, colored pencils, charcoal, mixed fibers, bronze sculpture, alcohol ink, markers, clock works, wood and mixed media, lino cut printing, lithograph printing, paper folding, mosaic glass and tile, plexiglass, various mixed media, and gold leaf.
Most artworks are available for purchase. The exhibit will remain on display through the end of March.
