Betty Colleen Kingery, age 90 of Monroe, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at her home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe. Burial will follow at Olive Chapel Cemetery near Columbia. The family will greet friends on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe. Memorials may be directed to the Quilts of Valor or the Monroe Fire & Rescue. The daughter of Lonnie Parker, Sr. and Ruth Ann (Reecer) Parker, Betty was born on February 19, 1935, in Marysville, Iowa in her aunt’s living room. Betty was united in marriage to Arlo Busick July 16, 1951 at the age of 16. Following his death in 1981, she married David Ray Kingery on March 3, 1984. Betty worked at 3M in Knoxville and had the most seniority for many years. Betty enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels at the feeders, mushroom hunting, but most of all spending time with the family at holidays. She always got excited to hold the grandbabies.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, David; children, Cherri (Dale) Van Wyk, Brenda Gilchrist, Darrel (Robbi) Kingery, and Scott (Amanda) Busick; grandchildren, Bryan (Natalie) Goff, Seth (Megan) Goff, Destiny Howsden, Brenda(Isiah) Blubaugh, Derryck (Mary) Kingery, Arissa Busick, Kaden Busick, Dalton Kingery, Sapphira Busick, Draven Busick, Kyrian Busick, and Xoe Keller and 13 great grandchildren. Preceding Betty in death were her parents, first husband Arlo; a Norman Busick; two grandchildren, Arlo Goff and Tianna Overton; son-in-law, Roger Gilchrist and her siblings, Frank Parker, Lonnie Parker, Jr, Elenor Bowers, Gloria Goff, Johnny Parker and Madonna Parker.
