A recent arrest has resulted in serious criminal charges against an 18-year-old Louisa County resident following an investigation into alleged online exploitation of a minor.

Brady Preston Tobias was initially taken into custody on May 14, 2025, without incident. The arrest stemmed from an investigation into conversations Tobias allegedly had with a 12-year-old female through a social media application.

Initial Charges

The first arrest resulted in three charges against Tobias:

  • Sexual exploitation of a minor (Class B Felony)
  • Grooming (Class D Felony)
  • Exhibiting obscene material to a minor (Serious Misdemeanor)

Additional Charges Filed

Following continued investigation and forensic examination of electronic devices, authorities filed additional charges against Tobias. On September 29, 2025, law enforcement executed a second arrest warrant, charging him with 41 counts of possession of child sexual assault material. Each count is classified as a Class D Felony.

Current Status

Tobias is currently being held at the Louisa County Jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond as he awaits further court proceedings.
