Mary Gott, 85, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, at the Oskaloosa Care Center.
Mary Elizabeth Gott, daughter of Harry Thomas and Elizabeth (Newton) Deaver, was born on April 25, 1940, in Beacon, Iowa. Mary attended schools in Beacon. Mary married the love of her life, Terry Paul Gott, on September 9, 1958, in Beacon. Mary was a busy homemaker raising her four boys and various animals. She loved mowing the yard and performing tasks that allowed her to be outdoors.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Terry (Gina) Gott of Oskaloosa; Phil (Erin) Gott of Eddyville; Tim ( Cass) Gott of Evans, Iowa; seventeen granchildren: Joshua, Justin, Brian, Stephanie, Megan, Mackenzie, Ryan, Matt, Rob, Hunter, Shawn, Destiny, Ariel, Eric, Cody, Nathan and Abby; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Terry, and one son, Paul; three sisters: Barb Ewing, Jean Padgett, and Myron Boyer; four brothers: Harry, Bill, Fred, and Edgar, in infancy.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the Beacon Cemetery.
