Update: December 11th, According to court records, all charges were dropped on August 10th
On August 17th, the Knoxville Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a domestic abuse assault in progress at the 400 block of S. Second Street. Upon arrival, officers found Christina Savage-Doolittle and a male companion in a garage.
After separating the two, deputies conducted interviews that revealed a heated verbal argument had erupted over the length of time Doolittle had been using the victim’s vehicle. Tensions escalated when the victim requested his keys back. In response, Doolittle allegedly threw the keys at him, striking him in the face. The victim also reported that Doolittle threw chess game pieces at him during the altercation.
Doolittle admitted to throwing the keys but maintained that the couple, who live together, were in a relationship. As a result of the incident, she was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail, facing charges of Domestic Abuse Assault—a serious misdemeanor classified as a first offense.
A no-contact order has been issued in this case, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 26th at 9 a.m.
