The City of Albia will begin conducting regular warning siren tests to ensure the emergency system is working as it should.
The first test is scheduled for Monday, July 8 at 10:00 a.m. After that, siren tests will take place on the first Tuesday of every month at 10:00 a.m.
These routine checks are part of the city’s ongoing effort to keep residents safe and prepared in the event of severe weather or other emergencies.
If the National Weather Service predicts a threat of severe weather on a scheduled test day, the siren test will be cancelled and resume the following month.
