David Junior Blankenship, 75, of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on June 3, 2025 at Centerville Specialty Care in Centerville, Iowa. He was born on June 9, 1949 in Ottumwa, Iowa to David Wayne and Helen Marguerite Black Blankenship. David worked for the State of Missouri for several years.
He is survived by long-time partner, Kay Ballard of Bloomfield and three grandchildren, Hunter Philips, Zyron Ince and Safron Hilburn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Amber Blankenship.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025 at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield with Pastor Don Naftz officiating. Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
