This Sunday, June 1st, from 4 PM to 7 PM, the Wapello Car Guys will be hosting a benefit cruise starting at the Davis County Elementary School, located at 500 E. North Street in Bloomfield. Cars will line up around 5:15 PM to take a scenic cruise out to the beloved Frozen Oval Ice Cream shop in Drakesville. After enjoying some delicious ice cream, the group will head back to Bloomfield.
This event is particularly special as it aims to support Darrell Scott, who was involved in a tragic hit-and-run accident on May 24th while riding his bike. Darrell will be present at the event, and all proceeds from the cruise will go toward assisting his family with medical expenses, as well as gas and food costs during this challenging time.
Participants are encouraged to make a freewill donation to help the family. It’s a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, enjoy some classic cars, and support a local family in need.
