Casey’s General Stores Inc. is helping customers take a bite out of Tax Day stress with a new pizza promotion designed to offer instant gratification.
On April 15, members of Casey’s Rewards loyalty program can earn a free large, one-topping pizza by purchasing any large pizza at participating locations. The deal, called the “Pizza Refund,” allows customers to redeem their free pizza anytime within 21 days after Tax Day, through May 6.
“Paying taxes isn’t fun, but cashing in on a Casey’s pizza deal? That’s deliciously delightful!” said Brad Haga, senior vice president of prepared food and dispensed beverage at Casey’s. “We’re committed to delivering the unexpected goodness our guests crave with our special ‘Tax Day Pizza Refund.'”
To take advantage of the offer, customers must join Casey’s Rewards, save the Pizza Refund offer in their account, and purchase a large pizza either in-store, online, or through the Casey’s mobile app on April 15.
The promotion follows a series of recent pizza-related deals from the Iowa-based retailer, which recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of its pizza program with 40-cent Mega Slices and 40% off any whole pizza.
Founded in 1984, Casey’s pizza program has become a signature part of its offerings, expanding over the years to include breakfast pizza, introduced in 2001, and thin crust pizza, added in 2023.
Headquartered in Ankeny, Iowa, Casey’s operates approximately 2,900 convenience stores across the United States, making it the third-largest convenience store chain and the fifth-largest pizza chain in the country.
