The League of Women Voters will be holding a legislative forum this weekend.
The League says it has received numerous inquiries to revive the forums and has changed the program’s format to allow legislators to talk about the work they are doing for their communities.
Senator Cherielynn Westrich, District 13, and Representatives Hans Wiltz, District 25, and Austin Harris, District 26, have all been invited to attend.
The forum will take place on Saturday, April 5, at the Career Campus, 331 E Main Street in Ottumwa, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.
After making an opening statement and talking about the work they are doing for their communities, the legislators will answer questions from the people attending and from those questions submitted via the League’s Facebook page. Each legislator will then be able to wrap up by indicating what issues and actions they anticipate in the remaining weeks of the session.
