A public hearing was held to approve a resolution authorizing a loan and disbursement agreement and issuance of notes not to exceed $520,000 for the sewer capital loan. No public comments were made. All resolutions pertaining to the sewer loans were approved.
Each of the city departments gave updates to the council and those in attendance, including from the police department where it was mentioned that due to homecoming week extra patrols will be out. A third reading of chapter 41 of the code of ordinances regarding the sale and discharge of Fireworks was approved.
Other business on the agenda included a discussion on the Santa House and sewer liner project, approval for the mayor to sign a resolution accepting the Gingerich Settlement, approval to pay for sidewalk and lagoon projects, and more.
