Fairfield’s Central Park will come to life for the holidays on Friday, November 27th, as the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony, according to the chamber.
The Fairfield High School Choir will kick off the evening with holiday caroling at 5:30 p.m. Around 6 p.m., Chamber Executive Director Mendy McAdams and the current Citizens of the Year will offer brief remarks and recognition before flipping the switch to light up Central Park.
After the lighting, Santa will welcome children in the Santa House, with a book for each child donated by AERON Lifestyle Technology. Horse-drawn wagon rides, hot cocoa, and cookies will also be available. All activities are free and open to the public. Organizers encourage attendees to dress warmly for the outdoor celebration.
Everybody’s Whole Foods is the presenting sponsor of the event.
