The Knoxville Police Department says an arrest has been made in relation to stolen funds from a local Little League.
Brandon Stone, 41, has been charged with first-degree theft, a Class C felony.
The department says it began an investigation in June after receiving a report of the tampering of funds from a bank account associated with Knoxville Little League. After examining financial records, it was determined that $26,000 was missing from the organization’s account.
Stone served as the treasurer for Knoxville Little League and was arrested on Friday, October 16th as a result of the investigation.
Stone is currently housed in the Marion County Jail on a $10,000 bond. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for October 23rd.
