Pekin High School students in grades nine through twelve will spend the morning of Wednesday, October 14th serving communities across the region, according to a social media post from Pekin Schools.
Students will be traveling to Hedrick, Richland, Ollie, Fairfield, Ottumwa, and Sigourney to give back and make a positive impact. Among the projects planned for the day, a group of students will be building beds for children and families in need as part of the Sleep in Heavenly Peace Build a Bed project, sponsored by Corteva.
Pekin Schools thanked the communities, organizations, and partners making the day of service possible.
