An Oskaloosa man has been found guilty of a felony charge stemming from an undercover law enforcement sting targeting individuals seeking illegal sexual contact with minors.

A Marion County jury convicted Jason Glasgow, 51, of Enticing a Minor Under 16 for a Sexual Purpose, a Class D felony, on October 13th following a two-day trial. Glasgow was acquitted on two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

The case originated from a coordinated undercover operation conducted in October 2024 by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Knoxville, Pella and Pleasantville police departments, as well as agencies from outside Marion County. Law enforcement placed online advertisements on various platforms to identify individuals willing to meet with someone they believed to be a minor under the age of 16 for illegal sexual purposes. According to court documents, Glasgow engaged in online communications on October 9th with an undercover officer posing as a 15-year-old girl, arranged a meeting, and agreed to engage in sex acts before traveling to Knoxville, where he was arrested.

Glasgow is scheduled to be sentenced December 3rd.
