The Iowa Renaissance Festival is preparing to bring a weekend of history, entertainment and family fun to Middle Amana this October.

The festival will take place October 17-18, 2026, at Middle Amana Community Park, located at 910 U Avenue in Middle Amana. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

Visitors can step into a Renaissance village filled with live entertainment, medieval activities and opportunities to explore artisan crafts. Festival attractions include knights battling and jousting, swordplay, music, comedy, pirates, fairies and other performers.

More than 60 artisan and merchant booths will offer a variety of items for shoppers. Festivalgoers can also enjoy traditional festival food, including turkey legs, along with mead, ale and other beverages.

Guests are encouraged to wear Renaissance costumes, although dressing up is not required. The event welcomes families, friends and anyone looking for a unique fall outing.

The October festival dates mark the closing of the Iowa Renaissance Festival’s 2026 season, giving visitors a final opportunity this year to enjoy the festivities.

Tickets are available online at www.midwestfests.com or at the gate, where cash and card payments are accepted.
